Description
The Lightning X Bunker Suit uses the outer shell material (60% Kevlar®/39% Nomex/1% Anti-static). This material has been tested to EN 469:2020 for Ageing, Dimensional Changing, Washing, Heat Protection, Tensile Strength and Tear Strength.
The Lightning X Fire Fighting Suit is designed with precision and adheres to the highest safety standards in the industry. This advanced protective gear consists of two primary components: a tunic and trousers. Each garment is composed of a composite structure featuring an outer shell, moisture barrier, and thermal barrier.
The suit is available in eight sizes, ranging from X-Small to 4XL, ensuring a proper fit for all firefighters. A key safety feature is the absence of metal clips or rivets, reducing the risk of heat conduction and potential injury.
Material Composition Outer Shell
- 240 gsm Nomex® Rip-stop fabric
- Fiber composition: 60% Kevlar®, 39% Nomex, 1% Carbon
- Compliant with BS.EN 469:2005/2020 and EN 533:1997 Level 3 standards
- Ricotest report available (3811212/E)
- Black coloration
- Durability: Withstands 3000 cycles at 200N x 200N on the Taber Abrasion Machine with 90% material weight retention
- Utilizes yarns guaranteed to 360° C by the manufacturer and SABS approved
- All raw edges and seams are overlocked using a minimum of five yarn strands
Moisture Barrier
Flame Rite inherent FR material laminated to a FR/PTFE/HYDROPHILIC membrane (Porelle P9FR/PTFE1), exceeding EN469 requirements for moisture barriers. The fabric is:

Composition: 50% MA / 41% CO / 7% PA / 2% AT. The fabric is:
