Description
The 5 litre tank is made of a Polyethylene which is lighter than the metal containers used in the past. Due to the wall thickness it is safe to use, as the melting temperature must be above 300 degrees.
The oval design prevents it from falling over during transport.
Fuel is normally premixed at a ratio of 4-5 parts of diesel to one part petrol. It is important for safety that no higher petrol concentration be used. Do not fill container above breather valve level as it may cause
leakage of fuel which could ignite. The design of the top of the container was introduced to prevent spillage of fuel when filling. If spillage or over filling did take place the excess fuel should be poured back into a
larger container.
A ball valve is located on the lance for easy shutting off of fuel when in transit. The breather valve situated on the side of the container and the ball valve must be opened
slightly when in use to control the flow of fuel to the wick for easy burning and dripping of diesel. Please note that breather valve must be screwed clock wise to shut of the fuel flow.
