HOW DOES ZDI'S ORDERING PROCESS WORK?

Upon quote acceptance or purchase order receipt, we conduct a stock check. We stock a wide range of workwear from brands like Dromex, Pioneer, and quality footwear. Once stock is confirmed, we process your proforma invoice. Lead times for out-of-stock items are typically 3-7 days, with specific lead times noted on the invoice.

Footwear brands require stock confirmation before payment, with lead times of 3-4 weeks if not in stock. We bank with FNB, Absa, Capitec Business, Standard Bank and Nedbank and offer online ordering with various payment options. Orders are processed only after full payment is received.

Orders are picked and packaged within 1-3 working days, with dispatch typically on day 1 or 2 for in-stock items. Lead times for ordered items vary from 3-5 days, extending to 3-4 weeks for out-of-stock footwear. Other brands have lead times of 3-14 working days, with some extending to 3-21 days.

Our dispatch team notifies you via email when your order is processed and dispatched. DPD Laser collects orders for delivery, with shipping lead times of 1-5 working days across South Africa. No deliveries on weekends. Track your parcel using the prefix ZDI followed by your tax invoice number at https://customer.dpdl.co.za/ExTrack.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM ORDER QUANTITIES?

At ZDI, we prioritize flexibility in your ordering process. There’s no minimum order quantity for in-stock items, allowing you to purchase as little as one box of masks or a single Dromex item. Standard courier charges apply to all orders for efficient delivery.

Some products, like Pioneer Safety items, may have brand-specific restrictions limiting online orders to full carton quantities. This helps streamline our dispatch process. Our website clearly indicates minimum order quantities for add-to-cart items, but we’re always ready to accommodate special requests. If you need assistance, please contact us via email.

While we strive to offer competitive pricing, we currently can’t provide free delivery. Our margins are kept low to maintain affordability without compromising quality. We’re committed to meeting your safety equipment needs efficiently and cost-effectively.

HOW DOES THE COURIER CHARGES WORK?

At ZDI, we strive to provide efficient and reliable delivery services for all our valued customers. It is important to note that courier charges apply to ALL orders without exception. However, we have implemented a streamlined system that automatically books collections and manages all returns, ensuring a hassle-free experience for you.

When it comes to the cost of delivery, it will be dependent on the specific products you order. For local Gauteng deliveries, we offer a competitive rate of R150.00 for 1 carton, while nationwide deliveries are priced at R199.00 for 1 carton. And the good news is, the more you order, the more you save! For each additional carton, you will be charged a reasonable fee ranging from R150.00 to R165.00.

Although we acknowledge the allure of offering free delivery, we have opted for a more pragmatic approach. Our strategic decision focuses on maintaining competitive pricing by keeping our margins as low as possible. This allows us to offer you the best possible prices without compromising on quality. However, please be assured that our delivery services are top-notch, ensuring that your orders reach you in a timely manner.

It is important to note that once your order is collected by the courier, we cannot be held liable for any damage or loss of goods during transit. However, for added peace of mind, we do offer transport insurance for values under R20,000. This insurance can be requested and added to your order at a minimal cost of 6% of the item value. This way, you can protect your investment and minimize any potential risks.

To ensure that your orders are processed efficiently and delivered promptly, our system automatically logs the collection/delivery once your order is completed. This helps to prevent any unnecessary delays and ensures that you receive your products in a timely manner.

WHY CAN'T I COLLECT MY ORDER?

At ZDI, we’re adapting to change by transitioning from a walk-in shop to an efficient automatic ordering and delivery system for PPE and Uniforms. This shift reduces our costs, allowing us to offer competitive prices without compromising quality.

We prioritize safety by implementing a no-collections policy to prevent theft and hijacking. We provide accurate lead times to set clear expectations for timely deliveries. Our partnership with DPD Laser ensures reliable order fulfillment, dispatching from Boksburg, Isando, or Woodmead.

For orders above R10,000, collection is available at our main courier depot in Meadowdale. Alternatively, we offer delivery to your chosen courier company, subject to order value limits or standard fees. While we don’t disclose warehouse addresses online, we’re committed to finding solutions that work for you.
