Description

Dromex® DH knee spat is a premium, heavy duty, buffalo leather knee and ankle protector.
This knee spat protects the user’s knee, ankle, footwear and trousers from the hazards of hot metal contact, slag, sparks and spatter that falls onto the leg, generated while welding, grinding or using a cutting torch.
The chrome leather shoe covering features four (4) tightening straps with buckles for ease of use and ensures a secure fit for various leg and shoe sizes. The spat also features double lock – stitched Kevlar thread for added
durability.
Commonly used by welders and boiler makers as their knees are especially vulnerable and exposed when having to kneel in a specific position to obtain a desired weld or when working, near sharp metal edges, jagged surfaces, red hot metal, sparks and other hot flying metal.
These spats are suitable for use in welding applications, used in the maintenance, manufacturing, and carpentry industries. Leather has long been considered the best protective material for welding applications. The relative thickness of leather prevents heat from penetrating through the garment and also provides excellent abrasion and puncture resistance.
