Description

MODACRYLIC HI-VIZ CARGO PANTS

These Modacrylic arc-resistant cargo pants are engineered to meet and exceed essential safety requirements and standards for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Crafted with Dromex® A.P.T MVP180 fabrics, these garments offer superior self-extinguishing properties, heat resistance, and ignition protection. All Dromex® Arc garments are meticulously constructed using inherent flame-retardant thread to ensure maximum safety.

While the information provided here is intended to assist in the selection of appropriate PPE, it is crucial to note that actual use conditions cannot be directly simulated in a test environment. Therefore, it is the end user’s responsibility, not the manufacturer’s or supplier’s, to determine the arc flash suitability for the intended application. Prior to use, arc flash protective suits should undergo thorough inspection to ensure structural integrity.

Cleaning & MaintenanceFor electric arc exposures, wear the appropriate number of flame-resistant clothing layers as determined by an electric arc hazard analyst. In potentially explosive environments, proper grounding procedures must be implemented to protect against electrostatic spark ignition. Do not don or remove garments in potentially explosive environments.

Garments made from Dromex® A.P.T MVP215 Modacrylic fiber can be cleaned through home or commercial laundering without compromising their inherent protective features. The following guidelines will help maintain your garment’s safety and appearance:

  • Launder Dromex® A.P.T MVP215 Modacrylic garments separately from personal non-flame-resistant clothing to prevent contamination by flammable materials
  • Wash dark colors separately
  • Pre-treat greasy stains and collar/cuff lines
  • Do not dry clean
  • Wash garments in warm water (40°C) with heavy-duty detergent
  • Avoid overloading home laundry equipment
  • Do not use chlorine bleach or detergents containing chlorine bleach, as it may cause fading and reduce fabric strength
  • Tumble dry garments at a low setting
  • Remove and hang garments promptly once the tumble cycle ends
  • Avoid hanging in direct sunlight, as it can cause fading and reduce fabric strength

For stubborn contaminants that home procedures cannot remove, commercial laundering is recommended.
