BENEFITS (PPE/WORKWEAR LANGUAGE)

  • Confidence on the job: A1 filtration helps reduce exposure to common organic vapours encountered in industrial and maintenance tasks.
  • Comfortable for longer wear: The low-profile, lightweight shape helps reduce bulk and keeps your field of view clearer while working.
  • Practical filter management: Twin cartridges screw on securely and can be replaced when breathing resistance increases or breakthrough is detected.
  • Flexible protection options: Add compatible Dromex pre-filters when you need particulate protection alongside organic vapour filtration.
  • Built for work environments: Durable cartridge construction supports day-to-day site handling and storage when used and maintained correctly.

HOW TO USE (SIMPLE)

  1. Check the expiry date on each cartridge and inspect for damage (dents, tears, deformation). Do not use damaged or expired cartridges.
  2. Confirm you are using a Dromex twin-cartridge respirator intended for twin filters.
  3. Screw each cartridge onto the respirator filter connectors clockwise (right-hand thread) until secure. Do not over-tighten.
  4. If particulate protection is needed, fit the appropriate Dromex pre-filter (DR-P2PF-EN or DR-P3PF-EN) using the correct retainer system for pre-filters used with gas cartridges only.
  5. Leave the work area immediately and replace cartridges if breathing becomes difficult, you smell/taste contaminants, or you experience dizziness or discomfort.

THREE CUSTOMER REVIEWS

  1. Noluthando M.
“Easy to fit onto our twin masks and they sit close to the face without getting in the way. We use them for solvent vapours in the workshop and the comfort is noticeably better than bulkier options.”
  2. Gareth P.
“Solid cartridges and the thread-on fit feels secure. We run pre-filters when the area is dusty, and that setup has worked well for our maintenance team.”
  3. Ayesha K.
“Good low-profile design—my vision isn’t blocked while working. Change-out is straightforward, and storage is simple as long as you keep them sealed and clean.”

FAQS

  1. Do these cartridges come in sizes?
No. The DR-A1-EN is a cartridge filter, not a sized garment. Fit depends on using the correct compatible twin-cartridge respirator.
  2. Which respirators are these compatible with?
They are for Dromex twin-cartridge respirators only, including DH302 and DHFFM. Do not use twin cartridges on single-port masks.
  3. What do A1 cartridges protect against?
A1 cartridges are designed to filter organic gases and vapours with boiling points higher than 65°C.
  4. Can I add particulate protection for dusty work?
Yes. These cartridges can be used with Dromex pre-filters DR-P2PF-EN or DR-P3PF-EN (used with gas cartridges only) to add particulate protection and help prolong the gas filter in certain conditions.
  5. When should I replace the cartridges?
Replace them if breathing resistance increases, if you detect breakthrough (smell/taste/irritation), if the respirator or cartridge becomes damaged, or once the established change-out schedule for your site is reached.
  6. How do I clean and store them?
Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth only. Do not use solvents and do not allow water to enter the filter. Store in a dry, cool area away from direct sunlight and contamination, and keep within the marked shelf life.
